Who We Are?

Ms. J. Freeda of Venganchi Vilai, Kollankodu, a homemaker and JLG group member, oversees production and design. With a 12th-grade education and her husband working as a Cooli, job opportunities were limited. ARUNA introduced the EDII- Accenture-sponsored self-employment training program, leading to MSDP enrollment. Specializing in Banana Fiber Products (Bags, Mats, Boxes, Pouches), the program equipped her with skills a successful entrepreneur.

Vision

We envision a future where rural women are not only the custodians of their communities but also key contributors to economic sustainability through the creation of banana fiber products. Our vision is to establish a thriving network where these women, armed with skills and resources, turn local waste into valuable commodities. By fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration, we aspire to uplift individual lives, promoting financial independence, environmental stewardship, and the overall empowerment of rural women.

Mission

Our mission is to empower rural women by harnessing the potential of locally available waste, specifically banana fiber. Through skill development and training programs, we aim to create a sustainable ecosystem for producing high-quality banana fiber products. By transforming waste into valuable goods, we seek to enhance the economic prospects of rural women, providing them with a means to generate income and contribute to the well-being of their families and communities.
